Holika Dahan is celebrated on the day of the full moon of the month of falgun, and on the next day , the Holi festival Holi is observed. Holashtak is celebrated 8 days prior to Holi and it is never permitted to perform any work that is believed to be auspicious during this period. However, preparations for Holi begin one day before Holashtak.

In this year’s edition, Holi can be enjoyed on 18 March 2022 (Friday). In contrast, Holika Dahan will be celebrated on March 17th 2022. Holi is a sacred festival that is observed by Hindus throughout the world. It is a time to play with colour during Holi and also set up the bonfire at sunset on Holika Dahan which is the day before celebrations of the Holi celebration.
